狀況說明：

開啟ESX 4.1內的某VM，發現常時間停在95%，待一段時間後，無法開啟Console，出現「unable to connect to the mks ...」

解決方法：

1. With vSphere Client, connect to the host or the VC server that controls the host.
2. Click on the host and go to the Configuration tab.
3. Click on Security Profile.
4. Click on Properties in the Services table.
5. Start ESXi Shell and SSH services.
6. Open a SSH session to the host.
7. Execute /sbin/services.sh restart. This will restart all agents. The vSphere Client or the vCenter server will lose connection to the host. Reconnect! The VM may show as (invalid).
8. Find the PID of the process by typing ps|grep “<VMName>”. The second number before the name of the VM is the PID.
9. Kill the process by typing kill -9 <PID>.
10. Go to /vmfs/volumes/<DataStoreName>/<VMName>.
11. Delete the swap file by typing rm –r <SwappFileName.vswp>
12. In vSphere Client right click the VM and select Remove From Inventory.
13. Browse the data store, open the VM folder, right click on the .vmx file and select Add to Inventory.
14. Power On the VM.

狀況說明：

昨日發現一台esx 4.0主機其中一顆硬碟故障(做RAID 1)，利用clone vm方式也無法將vm備份出來。

解決方法：

1.利用再生龍，將整顆硬碟備份成映像檔，然後測試異機還原，出現錯誤訊息如下：* vsd-mount .................................................... [Failed]



狀況說明：

ESXi 5.1具有無共用儲存就可以達到vMtion的新功能，但在vSphere Client試不出來。

解決方法：

原來VMware將此功能設計在Web Client中。

無法備份Server 2008 R2作業系統的VM，出現「 E10055:Failed to attach disk.“」錯誤訊息

狀況說明：

將vCenter成功升級至5.1後，欲透過update manager升級至ESXi 5.1，畫面顯示「Software of system configuration of host <hostname> is incompatible. Check scan results for details.」

解決方法：

將ESXi主機重新開機後，便可透過update manager升級。

狀況說明：

安裝過程中，出現下圖之錯誤訊息。

解決方法：

進行ESXi升級之前，建議將ESXi設定黨做備份，避免升級異常，而無法回復。

    利用Update Manager工具掃描ESXi 4.1 update 1更新時，出現「The host returns esxupdate error codes: 99. check the Update Manager log files and esxupdate log files for mored details.」錯誤訊息

解決方法：

  1.利用Putty工具連線到該ESXi主機

VMware 無法進行Snapshot

作業系統：Windows Server 2008 x64

狀況說明1：VMware進行Snapshot時出現以下錯誤訊息。 

Cannot create a quiesced snapshot because the snapshot operation exceeded the time limit for holding off I/O in the frozen virtual machine

建置虛擬化後,在VC上出現三角形黃色驚嘆號Host xxx currently has no management network redundancy

上網找照作然後reconfigure for vmware HA居然就不見了

真是神奇啊

1.) Go to cluster and right click, then click Edit settings
